“I visited this place last year and I wasn't disappointed. I visited again last Sunday and again, I wasn't disappointed.Girl ORepeat Visit
Me and my partner really enjoyed the food and service that we received.
Not only were the staff friendly yet again and welcoming, the locals were too.
They made us feel incredibly welcome, and whilst the bar was slightly busy, they all told us that it would just be a moment and its worth the wait.
We also brought our dog with us and she was more than welcome. They ensured that we had a bowl of water there for her and even brought her a bit of Sunday beef!
Yet again this place was amazing and we will be visiting again.”
“Made a quick decision and took advantage of the dry warm weather to walk along the canal bank and reward ourselves with food at the Dalton Arms. We all had problems choosing off the extensive menu. Decision made and each one of us was more that satisfied with our delicious food. Service was top and the friendly greeting means we will keep coming back. Keep up the good work.”Stephen FSaturday Lunch
“We stopped here on a rainy night and after a few "Who are they?" looks we were warmly welcomed with classic pub fare, a crackling fire and a great selection of whisky! It's an unpretentious place with friendly locals and for good conversation. One of us left something behind and the staff offered to keep our plates under the heat lamp while we fetched it. Very thoughtful. Nice little canal side location too :)”PeriwinklA welcoming, cosy pub with good food and great whisky
“My husband and I called in at the Dalton Arms today for lunch. We were warmly greeted by the landlady - I ordered homemade chips, fried eggs and cold ham, and Don opted for a 'smaller portion' of Steak and Ale Pie with chips and peas. Generous portions, piping hot and very tasty - the chips were gorgeous! Will call there again when we're next at Glasson.GILL C BLACKPOOLGreat lunch

...and person friendly obvs!
Quiet and convenient. Nice food and very relaxed. A great place to stop off on a lockside walk (as I did), especially if you are with your dog! I'd never tie my friend up outside, but this place was totally happy with my pooch coming in with me whilst I had a little lunch and a break from my day. Thanks all!!”
“We came upon this pub by accident but I am glad we did. It was well past 2pm when we arrived and, on asking if food was still being served, were told it certainly was! My wife had scampi and I had gammon, cooked exactly how I requested. Waistline warning! The helpings were enormous - no portion control nonsense in this pub! The landlady was very friendly and welcoming and told us about the local area - the dog just wanted her tummy stroked! Will happily return.”Neil B Nottingham, Hidden Gem
“A group of 16 women descended on this lovely pub at the end of the Bay Cycleway. We'd rung and booked a buffet lunch of sandwiches and chips for a great price. They went the extra mile for the ladies with dietary requirements, and also produced fruit platters which everyone really appreciated on a hot day and our celebratory prosecco was nicely chilled. The landlady even came out to greet us when we arrived. Couldn't have asked for a better end to our ride - thank you.”Janet Atherton
“Just had my surprise 60th birthday meal at the Dalton Arms organised by my husband with lots of help from Debbie, Jeff and Ashleigh. The table was decorated lovely and the food for the twelve of us was fabulous. Had a great time and would definitely recommend the Dalton Arms. Such a very friendly welcoming pub. Thanks again Debbie, Jeff and Ashleigh for making it such a special night for me.”Lynne McDermid
“Great food and good choice of beers. Very friendly staff with Indy the springer spaniel. Not forgetting the cosy fire on a cold and wet day.”Nick HallFacebook Review
“Had two lovely meals there over this Bank Holiday weekend. One on Friday evening & one on Saturday late lunch. Two of us dined on each occasion & had different meals ..so four very tasty meals were had. The service was friendly & efficient.
